It’s been a week for us in Chicagoland, and many of us are wondering what we can do to heal this world. An idea for you: this weekend marks the inaugural EcoVoice Festival, envisioned as a weekend featuring music that will inform, connect and inspire people to act for environmentally just causes. This is a collaboration amongst several institutions, most notably the University of Illinois at Chicago and Loyola University Chicago. Highlights include a Friday night Ocean: EnviroSong concert, a free soundwalk, a community singing activity, and the Mass for the Endangered by Sarah Kirkland Snider performed by the New Earth Ensemble on Sunday at Madonna della Strada Chapel (6453 N. Kenmore Ave, Chicago, IL 60660).
You can find a full schedule, buy tickets or reserve space in free offerings and engage with the idea of music to heal the earth at https://ecovoiceproject.org/
