MODERN LOVE satisfies eight times!

Amazon’s anthology of love stores adapted from the New York Times series of the same name brings great artists together creating one-hour valentines of many different flavors. Season 2 of MODERN LOVE is now on Amazon, and it does not disappoint.

Minnie Driver is terrific in the delightful On a Serpentine Road, With the Top Down, a love story linking two lovers, two children, and one great car. As the title suggests, there are many twists and turns, and only the ending disappoints. But the relationship of those we love who are gone with those we love who are still with us is beautifully explored.

Strangers on a (Dublin) Train is a different brand of sweet, as a brainiac girl meets a magnetic man on a train because of Covid. Lucy Boynton and Kit Harington are really delightful – both on the train ride, and when they return to their strange families to quarantine.

How Do You Remember Me? Is the gay entry and is written and directed by Andrew Rannalls. Zane Pais and Marquis Rodriguez play two men who are each walking with friends in New York when they make eye contact. As the distance between them shortens, we see in flashback how they had once connected, and it is hot and very interesting.

MODERN LOVE is a great dessert at the end of hot summer night. Short, sweet, and sincere.
