Miguel Lafuente’s subsequent film after Mario, Kike y David, is much less successful – a good reminder that without a great screenplay it is easy to get lost.
Javier Amann plays Guillermo, an actor/writer/director who takes his crush up to the roof for a sunrise kiss. But when reality does not live up to his fiction, he scripts it for a film. But even then – first with himself playing himself, and then other actors stepping in – it remains a wooden episode.
It is only when Guillermo lets got of his pre-conceptions that art and life align in a happier place.
